I believe in the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and the New Testaments)

The Bible is God-breathed.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:21

Inspiration is plenary (including all the Scripture) and verbal (extending to the words of Scripture). The Bible does not merely contain the Word of God; it is the Word of God.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible will never change.

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

Not everything in the Bible is true; that is, God's Word records the lies of evil beings. But when God speaks, the Word is true.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. Genesis 3:4

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. Titus 1:2

Not everything in the Bible is literally true; that is, God's Word often uses figures of speech.

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12

The godly person delights in the Word of God.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16
